Die Katze ist tot...

An einem Samstag Nachmittag hatten wir mal wieder kein Wasser und Lipok warf einen Blick in unsern Wassertank um zu sehen, ob es irgendwie Hoffnung gab, Wasser zu pumpen. Was sah er da? Die Katze ist tot. Bei dem Versuch in das Kuechenfenster unserer Nachbarn zu springen, landete diese Katze in unserm Wassertank und ertrank auf tragische Weise. Abends war sie dann schon voellig steif und aufgeblasen. Er und unser Freund Aggu, holten sie dann raus und wir mussten unser ganzes Wasser wegschuetten. Weil es Samstag abend war und man auch Sonntags kein Wasser kaufen kann, hatten wir dann zwei Tage kein Wasser. Danke Katze! Aber das Beeindruckendste ist, dass die Maenner bei uns in der Base voellig begeistert waren und erst mal lecker Katze gekocht haben. Am naechsten Tag fanden sie dann eine andere essbare alte Katze und am naechsten Tag gab es dann zur Abwechslung Hund... Da bin ich doch echt dankbar, dass ich meine eigene Kueche habe ;-)

One saturday afternoon in Shillong we ran out of water and Lipok went to check if there was any in our water tank. What did he find there? A dead cat. It tried to jump into the kitchen window of our neighbors but couldn't make it. So it drowned in our water tank without anyone coming to it's rescue. So Lipok and his friend had to pull it out and get rid of all our water. So because it was saturday evening and even on sundays you can't buy water here, we didn't have any for two days. Thank you cat! But the funniest thing is that the guys in the base were so excited that there was some meat around and ate the cat. The next day they found another old cat, and the day after that there was dog- curry in the base... I am so grateful to have my own kitchen ;-)

My brother Simon visited us after we met our family in Thailand. Lipok took him to his village and they went for fishing together. They especially enjoyed their four nights on the bus together... travelling here takes a lot of time... hehe...

Thailand holiday

We spent Christmas and New Year in Thailand to meet our family from Germany there. We had a lot of fun together and ate a lot of good food...
